During the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive held at the LAPD Wilshire Division, hundreds of families in Los Angeles received turkeys and holiday goods thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Lifedriven Foundation, Councilwoman Heather Hutt and community partners — with Reserve Officer Sandy Jones among those handing out meals and spreading holiday cheer. Jones, a Wilshire Division reserve, said the joy of giving back “fills my heart” and reflects the meaningful role volunteer officers play in strengthening community ties while supporting the department’s outreach missions. The annual drive not only provided Thanksgiving dinners but also offered families access to vital services and resources from local partners, showcasing how reserve deputies help bridge public safety and community care.
