Prince George city council has approved a motion to explore the possibility of joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Auxiliary Program, directing administration to prepare a detailed report on the initiative. If pursued, this move would allow the city to partner with the RCMP in supporting local community policing and volunteer resources. The RCMP’s Auxiliary Program has a long history of enhancing public safety through trained volunteers who assist with crime prevention, community outreach, and safety initiatives under supervision.
