The Miami Beach Police Department announced the passing of Reserve Police Officer Kenneth “Ken” Mastellone, a longtime member of the department whose service continued even after retirement from full-time duty. Mastellone, 70, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 near Weston, Florida, when he was struck by a pickup truck and subsequently run over while riding his motorcycle on January 27, 2026.
