Mounted Posse: Honoring a Historic Law Enforcement Tradition in Linn County

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office highlighted the long-standing tradition of the Mounted Posse, a dedicated group of volunteer riders who have played a meaningful role in law enforcement history and continue to support the Sheriff’s Office in community service and public safety. The Mounted Posse preserves the heritage of early Oregon law enforcement while assisting with search and rescue, public events, and outreach efforts, exemplifying the spirit of volunteerism and commitment to local community service.
