North Tonawanda, NY Increases Police Presence with Auxiliary Support After Shots Fired Incident

Updated: Oct 13

In the wake of a shots-fired incident on Webster Street in North Tonawanda, NY, Mayor Austin Tylec has announced an increase in patrols, of both full-time and auxiliary officers.

The incident, which occurred early Sunday morning September 28th outside a local restaurant, involved an altercation that escalated into gunfire. While no injuries were reported, the event has prompted the department to bolster its presence in the area.

North Tonawanda Police Auxiliary Officers will continue to actively assist full-time officers with the increased patrolling of the area, ensuring public safety, and providing a visible law enforcement presence to deter further incidents.
