A reserve officer from Prince’s Lakes Police Department has been awarded the American Heart Association’s “Heartsaver Hero Award” after she sprang into action to save a man in medical distress, demonstrating that even volunteer officers can make a life-saving difference.
Reserve Officer Lisa Vest, who has served her community as a reserve for 17 years, acted quickly and appropriately during the emergency, rendering critical aid until paramedics arrived. Her actions highlight the vital role reserve and volunteer officers play, not only in law enforcement, but in protecting and preserving lives in everyday emergencies.
