Schenectady County, NY Launches Recruitment Drive for Auxiliary Police Unit.

Schenectady County is inviting citizens to step up and support local public safety by volunteering for its auxiliary police unit. Coordinated by the county’s Office of Emergency Management, the initiative offers training and equips volunteers to assist in crowd control, traffic management, and other community-safety operations alongside full-time law enforcement officers. With large events and emergency readiness in focus, the county aims to build a team of dedicated responders ready to serve when it matters most.
