Using reserve officers & rehiring retiree officers suggested to help Dallas reach goal hiring of 300 Officers

While some council members seek to raise the new officer benchmark to 400, the city council recently aligned with recommendations from the city’s top cop and largest police association on what could be reasonably accomplished by September and approved raising police hiring goals from 250 to 300 this fiscal year.
