The York Regional Police (YRP) proudly welcomed its newest class of Auxiliary Constables, marking another milestone in the service’s ongoing partnership with community volunteers. These Auxiliary Constables, who donate their time to support frontline officers through community events, crowd management, assistance at parades, and emergency response tasks, have completed their initial training and are ready to begin serving the residents of York Region. The Auxiliary program builds on the idea that volunteer officers enhance public safety through community engagement, neighborhood outreach and additional visibility alongside uniformed police members, aligning with YRP’s broader mission to create safe and resilient communities.
