With the resignation of a relocating reserve officer, Brownsburg, IN Police are left with just two reserves and the Brownsburg Police Commission may let the reserve program dissolve through attrition.

The Brownsburg Police Commission in Hendricks County, Indiana, accepted the resignation of Reserve Officer Aaron Smith, effective May 30, as he relocates with his family. Meanwhile, the department announced it will review its reserve program in light of pending state legislation—leaving open the possibility of restructuring or phasing out the remaining 2 officer unit entirely.
