Belize Law Enforcement Community Mourns Fallen Special Constable Marcos Acal

A tragic loss has shaken Belize’s law enforcement community following the death of a police special constable in a fatal hit-and-run traffic incident along the Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway. Authorities confirmed that Special Constable Marcos Acal lost his life after the crash, prompting an outpouring of grief and support from fellow officers and community members. The incident serves as a solemn reminder of the risks faced by law enforcement personnel — including volunteer and auxiliary officers — who dedicate themselves to protecting their communities.
