The Bermuda Police Service has welcomed a new class of Bermuda Reserve Police Officers, marking a significant expansion of the island’s volunteer policing capability. The newly sworn-in reserve officers have begun their voluntary service alongside regular officers, committing to support community safety, assist with public engagement, and strengthen the service’s capacity during events, patrols, and community outreach programs. The Reserve Police Program — built on civic service and collaboration — highlights how volunteer officers play a vital role in enhancing public safety, building community trust and reinforcing the partnership between residents and the Bermuda Police Service. Several dignitaries and senior law-enforcement leaders attended the oath-taking ceremony, underscoring the importance of volunteerism in modern policing.
