The VLEOA joins the law enforcement community across Ontario in mourning the tragic loss of Sergeant Brandon Malcolm, an Ontario Provincial Police officer whose life was cut short in an on-duty motorcycle crash on Highway 401 near Cobourg.
Malcolm, a member of the OPP’s prestigious Golden Helmets precision motorcycle team, was remembered not only for his professionalism and passion for policing, but also for his earlier service as an auxiliary member with the Toronto Police Service before becoming a full-time officer. Colleagues described him as deeply committed to public safety and proud to serve his community, while tributes from fellow officers, friends, and community members continue pouring in following the devastating loss.
