Reserve Deputies Shine: Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Celebrates Volunteer Heroes

At the annual Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office's Deputy Sheriff Reserve Program Awards Ceremony, Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz proudly honored the department’s reserve deputies for their outstanding volunteer service, dedication to public safety, and crucial support of full-time operations.

The ceremony highlighted the vital role reserve deputies play in augmenting law enforcement capacity across Miami-Dade County, from community engagement and traffic details to supporting critical incident responses, underscoring that these sworn volunteers are trusted partners in protecting their communities. Sheriff Cordero-Stutz’s recognition of their contributions reflects the Office’s ongoing commitment to celebrate and uplift those who serve beyond the badge.
