The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is inviting community members to gain hands-on experience in law enforcement by joining its Auxiliary Unit, a volunteer program that supports full-time deputies through patrol assistance, special events, public engagement, and community outreach. Auxiliary members receive training, work alongside sworn officers, and play an important role in enhancing public safety across the Jacksonville Metro. The call for recruits underscores the value of volunteer service in strengthening police-community partnerships while providing participants a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to law enforcement operations and community support.
