The Lake County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Deputy Unit continues to demonstrate the extraordinary value of volunteer law enforcement, contributing more than 10,250 hours of service to the community during the past year. Supporting the Lake County Sheriff's Office, auxiliary deputies assisted with parades, festivals, traffic control, community events, emergency incidents, and numerous public safety operations throughout the county. Their contributions represent thousands of dollars in volunteer service while providing additional visibility, support, and resources to full-time deputies. The impressive milestone underscores the critical role auxiliary deputies play in modern policing, proving that dedicated volunteers remain an indispensable force multiplier for law enforcement agencies striving to serve growing communities.
